WHY the Malaysian Hypertension Club?
"The Malaysian Society ofHypertension has long cherished the ideals of reaching out to the public with regards to information on Hypertension - notjust as a disease but as a controllable, if not avoidable one. Simply put, prevention being always better than cure."
The Malaysian Hypertension Club (MHC) was created, as a non-profit organisation, to carry out coordinated initiatives with the Malaysian Society of Hypertension (MSH) to support those who have hypertension and to encourage those who do not, to take preventive action against getting it.
The MHC is part of the Malaysian Society of Hypertension.
WHAT does the club do?
The vision of the club is to "Optimise the management of hypertension through better understanding and caring for society." The MHC wilt-further support all Malaysians to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
HOW does the club go about doing it?
It is envisaged that the initial strategies to realise the club's vision are:
Organise activities for members and the public to create awareness of hypertension.
Act as a support group for those who are suffering from hypertension.
Provide talks and/or exhibitions by experts in the field of hypertension to members.
Sign up partnerships with key "Partners" to provide benefits to members.
Provide a website for communication and feedback to and from members.
Embark on membership drives to recruit members.
Support MSH public programmes.
Provide information in the form of flyers, posters and through the media to improve understanding of hypertension.
